Along Comes Mary...
You might recognize me as the petite redhead from a storied boutique in Westboro Village. There, I dressed thousands of clients while championing ethically-produced fashion brands from Canada and across the globe. After moving on from Mainstreet and spending several years working behind-the-scenes, directly with designers, I decided to launch The Wear Well and make my styling services available to the public once again; ready to revive your closets so you can dress without stress, and know that when you wear it, you’ll wear it well.

My Style Philosophy
Less about fashion trends and more about fashion feelings.
How do you feel when you wear certain garments and outfits? How does the fabric feel against your skin? How do you feel about where the clothing is made or how you have to care for it? I've noticed that these are the kinds of questions that lead to a wardrobe that truly works.
I also know that sometimes asking for help is hard. I have experience with neurodivergent clients, particularly those with ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD), individuals with physical limitations, chronic illness, or other challenges that require a patient, lighthearted approach. It's all about the right pace as much as the right piece. I'm here to help with both.

An in-depth wardrobe edit for those overwhelmed by a sheer volume of clothing, those who struggle with decision-making, and those who have gone through a major life change and are looking for a supportive and sustainable style-reset.

$375 / 3-hour session; $75 / hour thereafter
Rack Refresh+−
A quicker review of a previously pared-down wardrobe. We’ll identify your best seasonal outfit combinations and note what is missing and what needs a little extra love and attention.

Alterations Consult+−
In-person suggestions and pinning for simple alterations or repairs. I can often bring garments to my trusted local seamstress, or you can use your own alterations service.

Guided Shopping+−
Honest opinions and thoughtful advice to ensure you actually wear what you buy ;) Specializing in local Ottawa designers, Canadian-made, and quality secondhand and vintage.
